Airport to Habarana
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Habarana through Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle heartland. Settle into your hotel surrounded by ancient reservoir country. Drive time approximately 4-5 hours.
Habarana Exploration
Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress for panoramic views across the jungle canopy. Afternoon jeep safari at Minneriya National Park to witness the famous elephant gathering. End the day with a traditional village safari experience.
Habarana to Kandy
Depart Habarana and stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to 153 Buddha statues and ancient murals. Continue through spice country to the hill capital of Kandy.
Kandy Discovery
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic for the morning puja ceremony. Explore Kandy Lake and the historic city centre. Evening Kandyan cultural dance performance featuring fire-walking and traditional drumming.
Kandy to Negombo
Depart Kandy and drive to the coastal town of Negombo, passing through coconut plantations and fishing villages along the western seaboard.
Negombo Leisure
A full day at leisure on Negombo's long sandy beach. Optional lagoon boat ride, catamaran sailing, or cycling through the colourful Catholic fishing villages.
Departure
Early morning visit to Negombo's famous fish market to watch the overnight catch auctioned at dawn. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
