Most who visit Kalpitiya come for one thing that makes any tour one for the ages. Off the shores of Kalpitiya reside one of nature’s most awe-inspiring coalitions between the graceful spinner dolphin and our next addition to the Big Five; the gargantuan sperm whale. Spot pods of up to a hundred dolphins grazing the water whilst the sperm whale monitors the surroundings all on a boat ride off the Kalpitiya shore.

Afternoon set on a city tour in Trincomalee.
A drive through the Trincomalee city will take you to Fort Fredrick which was built in 1624 and is now an army garrison. The famous Koneswaram Temple, built atop ‘Swamy Rock’ (a rocky promontory cape) overlooking Trincomalee, is at least 2400 years old. Lover’s leap, a rock cleft near the temple also provides for scenic viewings from the temple grounds. The World War 2 cemetery situated on a slope is on a beautiful site backed by trees and is well maintained. The Sri Pathrakali Amman Temple is a colourful and vibrant temple with market stalls at the entrance.
Return to the hotel and leisure.

You will be taken to embark on a voyage of unforgettable sights while whale watching in Trincomalee. (Seasonal).
Enjoy breakfast on board while returning back.
After boat safari, return to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight accommodation at the hotel.Day 6: TRINCOMALEE / NEGOMBO - Approximate travel time 05-06 Hours
Dambulla Cave Temple, was declared a World Heritage site in 1991. The Cave Temple had first been constructed during the reign of King Vattagamini Abhaya. There are 5 caves in the temple and 157 statues of the Lord Buddha, with paintings on the ceilings and walls of the cave. The paintings of the cave highlight the past of Lord Buddha.
Arrive to Negombo and check into the hotel. Negombo is situated by the shores of a lagoon which was once a trading port for Portuguese and Dutch. The economy of Negombo is mainly based on its centuries-old fishing industry, though it also produces cinnamon, ceramics, and brassware. Overnight accommodation.Day 7: NEGOMBO / AIRPORT - Approximate travel time 20 minutes
